CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu’s citizens are in tears as their Chief Minister, J Jayalalithaa continues to be critical in the Apollo Hospitals. She was admitted on Sunday after a cardiac attack and is currently on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and life support systems as stated by the hospital.
In accordance to the doctors, a team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences will fly down to Chennai by the afternoon. Subbiah Viswanathan, Apollo Hospitals chief operating officer iissued a statement, “The chief minister is being treated and closely monitored by a team of experts.”
The 68-years-old chief minister is being treated with a team of doctors including pulmonogist, anaesthesiologist and cardiologist. On September 22, Jayalalithaa was admitted to hospital after complaints of fever and dehydration.
Her health condition detereoted leading to be put her on ventilator. On November 19, her health was said to be stabilized as she was moved to a personalised room.
Apollo Hospitals stated that they had been updating the Prime Minister’s Office, Raj Bhawan and Union health ministry about the health condition of the chief minister.
With each passing minute, people are stressing out with Amma’s critical condition. They are on roads, praying for her from their heart. The police officials are controlling the crowd situations; although the traffic channelising has become slow.
