

MUMBAI: Veteran actor Om Puri passed away at the age of 66. Reportedly, he suffered a massive cardiac arrest on Friday morning. The demise of the senior Bollywood actor has left the industry in shock.
Om Puri achieved success in not just Bollywood but also outside the country in Hollywood, British and Pakistani films. In 1990, Om Puri was awarded with Padma Shri. His debut film was Ghashiram Kotwal, a 1976 Marathi film.
In October 2016, a ray of controversies had sparked as he commented on his support for Pakistani actors in Bollywood for which he apologized through mainstream media.
