Dhoni ends his final course of captaincy in limited-overs formats

Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni steps down from ODI and T20 captaincy.

Having played his first match on 23 December 2004, Mahendra Singh Dhoni quickly became apple of the eye as he endeavoured his path towards captaincy. He leaded Indian cricket team in the year 2007 in limited-overs format delivering the trophy of T20 World Cup in the very same year and ODI World Cup in 2011. He then rose up to being the most successful captain till 2013.

He was already retired from the Tests in the year 2014. His captaincy was replaced by Virat Kholi, the then vice captain of Test cricket who seems to be well on the way to lead Team India after today’s decision.

After making the nation feel proud time and again, Dhoni has left Indians in a shock by taking the sudden decision of stepping down from the captaincy. After witnessing the saga of captain cool Indian team will have to prepare itself to the course of a new chapter.
